Save this before you travel. You need the APN at exactly the moment your phone has no connection, so bookmark this page or take a screenshot while you still have Wi-Fi.
No Cellular Data Network option? Your phone is not letting the line be edited yet. Restart the phone, make sure the Citrus line is selected for data, and check again.
On Samsung the path is usually Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > Access Point Names.
The APN is the third thing to check, not the first. Nearly every no-data report is one of these three.
This is the universal permission for an eSIM to get data abroad. Without it, no eSIM connects, even on a perfect network. It does not cost anything extra: your Citrus rate is the same either way.
It sounds too simple, but it is the fix roughly a third of the time. The phone has to re-register on the local network after the eSIM installs.
No eSIM works on a locked phone. On iPhone, check Settings > General > About > Carrier Lock; it should read "No SIM restrictions". Your carrier can unlock it, usually free once the phone is paid off.
